Project Management | Reviews, Assessments, and Audits

These services are typically short duration, limited engagement, and with a focused scope. All of the following services could be specific to a project, department, or the whole organizational system. Please also refer to the other sections under project management.

Reviews

A review service is when an organization engage SUKAD to review a project, a specific process, a department's processes, the project management methodology, or the full organizational system.

Although reviews, audits, and assessments are similar in concept, we approach them as somewhat different services. Reviews, would be less formal than the other two services, meaning it would require a shorter engagement. Reviews would be limited to SUKAD consultant(s) reviewing the 'required item' to identify potential gaps and suggest improvements.

The reviews could also be specific to the review of a service provider, or another consultant, on behalf of a client.

Assessments

An assessment service is when an organization engage SUKAD to perform a formal assessment of a department's processes, the project management methodology, or the full organizational system.

Assessments are more formal than reviews, since an assessment might be in line with a global standard or a benchmarking effort. This would include assessments in comparison to global standards, or a project management maturity assessment.

Project Audit

An audit service is when an organization engage SUKAD to audit a project, a specific process, a project management function, a department's processes, the project management methodology, or the full organizational system.

Audits are formal engagements and would consist of SUKAD performing the audit against the client’s established system, processes, and standards.

Case Study

In one case, a client was not comfortable with the work of another project management consultant. They asked us to review the work of the consultant and assess whether the product meets the client's requirement and contract. In this case, the consultant had failed in delivering a proper service.
