Project and System Assessments
These services are typically characterized by a short duration, limited engagement, and focused scope. The services could either be in form of reviews, assessments or audits and are specific to a project, department, or organizational system. Although reviews, audits, and assessments are similar in concept, we approach them as somewhat different services.
A review service is when an organization engages SUKAD to review a project, a specific process, a department's processes, the project management methodology, or the full organizational project management system to identify potential gaps and suggest improvements.
Reviews, would be less formal than the other two services, meaning it would require a shorter engagement and would be limited to SUKAD consultant(s). The reviews could also be specific to the review of a service provider, or another consultant, on behalf of a client.
An assessment service is when an organization engages SUKAD to perform a formal assessment of a department's processes, the project management methodology, or the full organizational system. Assessments are more formal than reviews as it might in comparison to global standards, benchmarking efforts or a project management maturity assessment.
An audit service is when an organization engages SUKAD to audit a project, a specific process, a project management function, a department's processes, the project management methodology, or the full organizational system. Audits are formal engagements and would consist of SUKAD performing the audit against the client’s established system, processes, and standards.
In one case, a client was not comfortable with the work of another project management consultant. They asked us to review the work of the consultant and assess whether the product meets the client's requirement and contract. In this case, the consultant had failed in delivering a proper service.
